Sybil comes from an aristocratic vampire family, but having been taken from them as a young child and abandoned in the forest where she was raised by the animals, Sybil doesn't know she is a vampire.
This blissful ignorance allows Sybil to spend the daylight hours chatting and playing with all her animal friends. Having been surrounded by them most of her life, she understands their language perfectly, though she does at times, have a little difficulty speaking all the different dialects.
The area of the forest where Sybil lives, is just a short distance from Oak Tree Lane, but far enough away that she has a little privacy. She has made a comfy home for herself in the old granite crypt, which was built a short distance from the path that runs though Bluebell Dell. It's a very pretty spot and Sybil is happy there.
One day while Sybil was sitting out side enjoying the sun, she heard rustling in the bushes by the stream. She recognised Mrs. Vole immediately, after all, that little blunt nose and the rich, silky, yellowish-brown coat she wears over her rounded body with it's long hairy tail, was a complete giveaway.
"Hello there Mrs. Vole, where are you going in such a hurry, this fine day?" Sybil asked, as she came rushing by.
"Oh hello Sybil, can't stop, I'm off to the shops to buy some rosehips before the are all gone, you know how quickly they sell out once the Voles know about them", Mrs. Vole replied.
"But you still have your slippers on, they will get awfully dirty going down that path", she sang out, but Mrs. Vole was too far away by then to hear. When rosehips are about, Mrs. Vole can smell them a mile away and always makes sure she is always first in line to get her share.
